Hey people, new member here. Have been trying to teach myself guitar for a little over a year with some successes and some things not so successfull. Could anyone give me any general tips or tricks?

hey welcome and this is a great place youll like it anytime you have a question and someone will answer it for you i teach myself alot but im luck VERY lucky i have my dad to help me alot also but its great that you tought yourself !!! WELCOME! :cool:

Welcome to GT. I am a fairly new member as well and this place has a lot of great info. It is much easier to click between pages here then flip through 'em in a book. Also, the vids and MP3 clips makes it easier to here what some of the licks, scales, etc. etc. etc. should sound like, especially if you are self taught and have no one to show you.
