I'm an interesting grab on that one. You know, I've got the typical virtuosos in my book like Vai, Satriani, Petrucci, etc. that I adhere to. I've got my personal favorites like John Levasseur and some others that are escaping me at the moment, and of course there are plenty of people that don't even fall into the guitar music category that I adhere to plenty. And I've got my list of guilty pleasures which includes people that don't make music overly complicated or do anything really breakthrough-like, but I still enjoy them all the same. I can't really say who I think is the greatest because I just listen to way too much music. On the notion of influence, though. I can say who it is that influences me to progress as a musician more than anyone else. And that would be me. I'm not trying to boast or anything, just saying that when I listen to my own music I enjoy it and I want to see myself grow beyond it and take what I can already do even further. I don't really hold any goals to be able to top Vai or anything. I find things like that silly and somewhat childish. I do want to be able to top myself though. To me that's real growth. And so is the tale of the wonderous shoopuff. And that, as they say, is that.

There are too many good musicians out there to pick just one or two so I would have to say anyone who puts the time and effort into their playing AND sticks with it when things are not so easy, especially if they are trying to make a living at it.

Meh, he's very fast, yeah, but he's a bit repetative for my tastes. Only so many times I can listen to pentatonic shred.

Last year yes..
I don't even really like his guitar playing anymore, but I will admit he can write some pretty good songs like 'blackened water', and pretty much all of hangover music.

The main character from American Psycho. I just watched that movie yesterday. I love it sooo much. Its unrated though, and the guy who sold it to me didn't ID me. I don't look old or anything. Atleast, I don't think I do.
