guitar strings
I was wondering what are some good acoustic strings. I have an ovation celebrity and I don't really like the strings that are on it. Some people are telling me Elexirs. What do you all suggest? Thanks.

There is a reason that a set of strings is under $5. You can experiment with different strings. Strings are a personal preference and it depends on how/what you play. Heavier gage strings (bigger numbers) make more noise, but are harder to bend. Lighter gage strings are quieter but are easier to push down and bend. Do you prefer Nike's, Rebok's or Adidas sneakers....
same thing for strings. All strings are good, some just give you the sound you are looking for.

I use Martin Acoustic SP Guitar Strings.....Phosphor Bronze....Light, .012-.054
The box is black and red. Check'em out....they're all I'll use on my Martin.
I tried elixer strings once and I didn't like them. But as someone else stated here, it's a matter of personal preferance.
