Hello again,

Thank you to those who helped me on my last pentatonic question.
I have another:

If I want to play a solo in C Pentatonic Minor, and I want to use the 2nd position of the scale, do I have to start the solo using the first position then move up to the 2nd, 3rd, etc...? Or can I just start my solo in the 2nd or 3rd position?

I hope that wasn't too dumb? :o

As long as you're in key and the melody is where you like it you can start wherever you want.

No it's not dumb at all. Asking questions is one of the best things you can do. That said there are no rules! You can start wherever you want. Each position contains the same notes anyways.
For life is quite absurd and death's the final word, You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.
