I just purchased a set of Elixir acoustic strings. They were very expensive - $20 CAD/$13.33USD. Apparently, they last much longer and have better tone.

Has anyone ever used these strings before (not the ones on my guitar, but the brand)?

I'm finding them easy to play - they advertise less squeaking from sliding on the strings, and that seems to be so. They don't have the brightest tone, but it has a full, rich sound, at least so far. Hopefully they will last twice as long as my usual strings.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Yes I have tried the Elixir strings before. They are amazing. You can slide so easily and they last much longer. I'm never going back to any other acoustic strings. Whatever that polyweb stuff is on the strings its working!

I think they're great strings. Even though I use D'Addarios'.

I've never been impressed with Elixir bass strings. I personally stick to Rotosound for bass strings and GHS Boomers for guitar strings. If I played more guitar I would probably be a bit more fussy- Bass Boomers annoy me.

I wanted to try them also but they told they were only for acoustic use. They didn't had any for electric guitar.

Yes, they do have them for electric guitar. I've used them, and they suck.

The tone was weak, and the elixer coating didn't last that long.
