I just heard about a simple modification that makes a lot of sense to do to a cabinet.

Think about it, they say that the bigger the speaker cable is that runs from your amp head to the cabinet, the better. Less resistance, right? Well, take a look inside the cab and the wires that are going from the input of the cab to the speakers are the little wires that look like they should be connected to a nine volt battery, like the wires in a stompbox. I'm gonna replace those wires in my cab with some serious speaker wire and see what happens. I've heard that it makes a world of difference, actually more volume, better tone, etc......I know Marshall and Mesa uses these small wires, not sure about others....

I'll let you all know what happens. And if anyone else has heard about this or has tried it, let me know your experience with it....
