Well, if you want to be able to switch from chord to chord better, what helped me was playing the chord a lot. The more you use one chord, the more your fingers will adjust to the fingerings. I was learning the song "Over the hills and far away" by led zeppelin and after playing the chords in the song for quite some time, they began to feel natural when i would switch to that certain chord. So the more you play, the easier it will get, and eventually your fingers will be really good at forming the chord. As for learning the strings and picking them. Just practice alternate picking, on scales or easy songs. You will eventually get the feel for the strings the more you play.
