Acoustic strings are usually thicker guages than electrics. A set of light acoustics can sometimes be equal to a set of semi heavy electrics. For my electric I like to use Ernie Ball Regular Slinkies. Goes from 10-46.

Go to the >D'Addario Strings< website and check out the descriptions of the various string sets.
