help with string gauges

i was just wondering if anyone knew the type of gauge david gilmour (pink floyd) used to play most of his solos? I cant seem to find the right thickness. I think that im using too think of strings but im not sure. Im looking for something that would really bend...

I don't know what gauge he played, but, the lighter the gauge, the easier they are to bend.

dont know about him but im using d'addario xl (x-super light) electric guitar strings ..

the gauge of these babys are .008 .010 .015 .021 .030 .038

these things fly and bend over halfway through the fretboard.

im pretty sure he uses strings with this level gauge cause you cant get bends like that with .013's

I'm pretty sure he uses .10's. That's sorta the average of most guitarists. I use .10's-.11's because a hate playin on, and usually break, those tiny little rubber band strings.

Bigger strings sound a hell of a lot better too.

ya man i think it was (fender super_light) and he used rythem guitar string when he did his solos i think i cant be positive but hey its worth a shot!
