I am just curious about the opinions related to Marshall heads. I have owned several nice tube heads, currently a JCM 900 100 watt model. I hear a lot of people downing these particular models in favor of the JCM 800's. I have owned both and I am much in favor of the 900. Taken another step further, a lot of people seem to down Marshall stuff completely now days. I have to say I cant understand this. Over priced yes, but lacking no. Marshall has an awesome, unique sound. They are great for anything from country on the clean side to metal on the gain side, and not to mention they are built like a Sherman tank. Anyone who says that Marshall lacks in sound quality must not know great sound. When you get beside a drum set you really know how valuable the Marshall power really is, they literally cut straight through a loud mix like no other. Hats off Jim Marshall!
