IMHO, the wah should come first after the guitar, then chorus, and noise suppressor. noise suppressors should always be the last in the chain of pedals before the amp or board.

the usual order should be

guitar>wah>distortion>modulation>delay>EQ>Noise suppressor>amp

thanks guys..... the boss directions did not mention chorus or wah in the directions for the ns-2. they did say delay should come after the ns-2 and i was wondering that since the chorus is slight delay it should come after the ns-2 but since it is so short it probably will not be affected.

That is the most useful bit of information I've ever heard in my life. That pretty much answers every pedal question I have.

No problem. Without using any FX loops, this order is the most efficient way to line up pedals, having them sound best.

To Earthman Buck: The quote at the bottom of your page is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard. You are a heartless freak.

Why thank you, Akira! It is indeed a joke. Good to know someone knows how to take one.

time-based effects always go after dynamic effects.....

so your distortion, volume boost, EQ's, filters, wah pedals, etc go first...then your phasers*, choruses*, flangers*, delays, and reverbs.

*these effects are traditionally created by very very quick and soon delays that create in and out of phase sounds and so are time-based effects.

edit: only exception would with that you'd want your noise suppressor last just so that it filters out all of the noise from the pedals....but then again, that might mess up the chorus effect by putting it behind it....experiment with that.
okay...my post is done...goodbye.

Sorry, but imagine being someone who was paralyzed from the waist down, who loved playing the guitar. Here they are going through this site and they read a comment like this. Do you think they would still respect this site, or look at the comment as a light hearted joke? Come on dude, you have to stand up for some things!
