i heard that guitars with floyd rose are very hard to tune. is this true? i'm buying a new guitar and i'd like that it has a floyd rose. how exactly can i tune it. any suggestion?

It takes a little longer to change the strings, and tune it but it's not as bad as people make it sound. The only real gripe I have is tuning down. Take drop D for example. Tuning down to drop D on a hardtail is just as simple as tuning the E string to D. On a Floyd you have to adjust every string 'cause letting the tension off the E adds tension to the other 5 strings. I put a tremsetter by Hipshot on mine and it's better than it was, but still a pain in the arse......

Well, it's only 30 bucks. It's adjustable for more or less stiffness. It fairly easy to install. Only took me about 15 min. It stiffens up your trem so it's not so touchy and easier to tune. I like mine.

and what about strings, when i use tremolo? how long approximately they stay tuned? i hope i won't need to tune it every time i use tremolo
