Strings
For all of those with accustic guitars what kind of strings do you use and why do you use them?
# 1
I play a Simon&Patrick acoustic.
I use D'Addario, E-series, EJ26 - Phosphor Bronze/custom light strings
(1st-011, 2nd-015, 3rd-022, 4th-032 5th-.042 6th-.052)
Made in the U.S.A
I like the feel and the control I have of the strings, I am predominantly an electric guitarist but use my acoustic for playing ideas on and playing acoustic blues.
I have recently bought the above make and series but lighter. EJ15 - Phosphor Bronze/x-light (1st-.010/6th-.47)
They are a little brighter and a little easier to bend.
P.S they don't tarnish or dry up like most other strings
Strings however are like guitars, we all have our own opinions, but I have used D'Aaario strings for years and have no complaints.
Riff and be merry

While I'm sat here, Playin', I'm tryin' to free my mind!

I use Martin SP bronze light gauge (012-054).
It's got this very delicate and percussive sound for solos and rhythm alike and gives you a very firm bass tone.
I've read in a magazine that Martins are the only strings Clapton uses on his acoustic and being an avid follower of Clapton, that gave me more reasons to be loyal to these strings.
Recently I bought a pack of D'Addario light strings and am regreting for it, it sounds too metalic for me. I can't wait to change'em back to Martins.
