anyone know any good finger excercises 'cos I'm trying to build up my speed on the fretboard but my fingers just spaz out when practising fast solos 'n stuff.

When I want to work on speed I do chromatic runs up and down the neck using a metronome.
After a while you'll see that you're getting faster because you will set the metronome on higher speeds.
This is awfully boring to me, but it helps.
I practice scales this way too sometimes.
