some of my poetry....

so i've been writing a lot lately....here's a couple of poems i've written in the past week or so.

what i normally end up doing is either altering the lyrics to later fit music or alter music to fit the lyrics.....i make it fit.


Dropping Science (12-1-05)


yeah she calls me on my bull****
most of the jerks would call her a bitch
but i love her cause she's keeps me on the one
keeps me going till my works been done

yeah she supports me
motivation never was this good
yeah she supports me
positive reenforcement for sure

when we get together it's chemistry
going straight up on biology
yeah i know we're gonna have a history
cause it's all good in the end like geometry

pissin off the ignorance of the I.D.
sayin the land was created on day 3
sun created on day 2
who hit the lights and crowned the king jew

yeah she's my lady of the land
beauty brains damn what a woman
fightin the stupids defendin man
keepin science pure like god damn

ahem....i don't normally read poetry outside of song lyrics, to be honest. but my favorite lyricists are angelo moore, kendall jones, mike burkett, E from the eels, but i dunno if you could really say that stuff influences me...i don't think i have the ability to communicate nearly as well as they do with poetry...i write more to write because i get a rhyme or an idea in my head and i end up elaborating on it. normally takes me a couple minutes to write out....but i'm writing one right now that i'm writing more stanza by stanza, line by line and taking my time with it....it's not that good, though...more introspective and that kind of stuff.
