Hello all. I am in the mood to move up from my 'starter' Washburn electric. Found a good deal on an Ibanez AF75. Sweet lil' guitar but I wanted to know if any of the GT genuises (what IS the proper plural for that anyway??) had an opinion on it. I can pick up a new one, right out of the box for $269.00. Got a nice sound and handles well but I just don't know if it's a good deal or if I should hold out for another few months and try to pick up an American made tele for around $600.

Your thoughts?

I have owned an AF 75, for over a year. IMHO it is a sweet guitar, great tone, action is easily adjusted for your syle of play, quality is top notch. Downside is that it is a BIG (heavy) guitar. With that said it does have a distinctly different sound from a tele, which is why I have bought an American Ash Telecaster for christmas. Bob

Thanks Bob. I think I am going to go with Ibanez for now. I too like the sound. Easy action and overall a nice guitar. One of these days though I am sure that I'll be adding a nice tele to the stable.

Marine eh? Semper Fi! I'm an Airman myself.

A crisp salute to a fellow service man. And thanks for the response. I appreciate your opinion.
