i read the replies to my post and a few people wanted to know why I bought expensive guitars when I cant play them, well people i will now tell you why,
when I was a teenager playing in bands I could'nt afford to buy good guitars only cheap japanese copies which were really bad, but in the 60's times were hard,
anyway now Im a lot older and Im one of those old guys the kids just hate, lots of disposable income, so why do i buy expensive guitars when i cant play them?.because i can, so to all you puzzled kids out there, just wait till you hit 55 then you too can buy anything your heart desires, oh and by the way, Ive just bought a Fender Deluxe amp, tubed up and sweet sounding.

Hell I'd do it if I could too.

that's ok... I'm sure you make more in a day then I do in a week... I wish I could afford to just go buy a whole bunch of expensive gear, but I have to save up and get things little by little.

well, I bought my 1st electric guitar for $5, which I still have. I hang it up in my studio as a reminder not so much of how far Ive come but as a reminder of where I was.
Ive been playing guitar for 20 years now, and I know what you mean. If you want to use higher $$$ equipment, DO IT. Sounds like youve earned that right. As for the level and quality of your playing, what differnce does equipment make? After all Michael Jordan isnt the only baller to wear Air Jordans, is he?

Dude thats your money, and unless your stealing it (and hopefully your not) no one should be authorized to tell you how to spend it...period.

dude, I didn't say he couldn't spend it, I just asked why someone who didn't know how to play would go out and buy 2 extremely expensive guitars... his answer was "because I can" and that's a good enough answer for me!
