This is a song that I recorded about a month ago. It has many time signature and tempo changes, as per usual for technical death metal. It has several influences from other genres as well. Give it a listen and tell me what you think.

I recorded this brutal little song last week. It only a minute long but pushes 246bpm in parts. It also has a tribute to an old favourite.

Really cool textures at the intro...

.....some insane guitar/drum interplay......wee......I'm at the circus!!!

.....psycho stuff.......you have a good therapist I hope! ;)

Killer playing......(the mix could be a bit clearer, though....some of the riffs got lost)

Peace,

Scott

I recorded this a couple of days ago. It's a bit more catchy than the others but still has messed up timing. It also has a couple of solos, one with some descent shred.

Lots of cool changes, remined me of Bucketheads "Cuckoo Clocks From Hell". Only thing I would change would be the tone for the rhythm tracks, I just thought it was a little too distorted. There's some good playing going on there and it gets a little lost behind the over saturated chops. Sounded kind of like the tone Entombed used on "The Left Hand Path". Just some constructive criticism, besides that I really liked it.
You use a real drummer or a is that midi driven?
Second track was very Buckethead again, if you've never heard the above album check it out. Nice changes again and a killer tempo. I like it, original, post again!

If it was a real guy he'd be on par with the guy from Death! Or the dude from Buckethead, he uses triggers along with a live kit, it can be done, it just takes an exceptional drummer.

You may very well see someone who could if you went to a Psycroptic gig. David Haley is quite possibly Australia's best drummer. Extremely creative and reaches speeds of 240+ bpm. You'd also be taken aback by the guitarist, Joe Haley, who creates some brillant technical riffs.

You could also catch both of them playing in The Amenta but they have a totally different sound. Industrial Black Metal, opposed to Technical Death/Grind of Psycroptic.

Anyway, I use Fruity Loops for the drums. My setup is pretty simple. Nothing other than a Jackson KVX10 through a Marshall MG100.

Soon my friend's going to lay down some grind vocals, then we'll release a demo. It's pretty off-the-wall stuff, so hopefully it'll interest some record labels.
