what does cdr, cdrw ect, mean?

im building a new studio and im learning as i go, when you record a multy trac cd do you record your tracs on internal memery then play all tracs to the final master, because soon im getting a porta studio well thanks for your help!! larry.

When you've recorded all of your seperate tracks and have mixed it, you bounce everything down to two tracks. You can either do this internally, or to an external 2-track devide such as an audio cd recorder.

cd-r = cd recordable
cd-rw = cd re-writeable
