Hi! I've got a big problem: when I start playing guitar everithing is allright, but a few minutes later my fingers get sticky and their movement acros the fretboard becomes more difficult. my sweat is corrosive and the strings of my guitar get rusty in only a few sessions.
Does anybody have the same problem and/or know any solution?
Thanks!

Try taping your fingertips, it worked for me.

If you don't allready, wash your hands before you play, and wipe the strings down when you're done playing. If the neck of the guitar gums up, then it's probably not your hands, but the guitar's finish.

Wipe a small amount of Dr Ducks Ax Wax and String Lube over your strings and fretboard, this will speed your playing and should protect your strings, it's good for your fretboard too, just remember to apply it sparingly.
It takes 3 chords, 2 fingers and one asshole to play rock'n'roll

Post #2 is 19 years old and the poster's last forum activity was 17 years ago... you probably won't get an answer.

It doesn't sound like a good idea to me but it must to someone... Guitar Center sells finger tape.

I like to build things and so my fingers can get pretty banged up. I have used a bandaid on a cut fingertip and had no problem with the cut when I played guitar. I just bound the wound fairly tightly (not enough to cut of circulation though) around the wound and I was able to play guitar with out much problem (my finger sensitivity was mutted a bit but not enough to stop me playing). I suspect any quality tape could work but if it was use too much it could gum up your stirngs. So not a permenant solution.
