White Room

hey could anyone please help settle this issue?

What is used to make the effect at the very beginning of "white room" by cream? Is it just guitars or strings, organ?!?!

there aren't any organs or strings. That effect you here is Eric clapton overdubbing 3 guitar tracks with feedback. Just in case you dont know what feedback is, you know when you hear a microphone do that annoying squealing thing, that's the mic feeding back. It usually happens when your at high volumes and you're guitar close to your amp.
