i have a mesa boogie stiletto and think its great but it needs a tube change to jj's but im sure the marhsall stock tubes are just as bad. I was a die hard marhsall rock dude with my heart set on a jcm 800 but after i waited the options i found the stiletto to be best suited for me. Some advantages that the mesa have over the jcm 800 is a master volume and solo boost, 50/100 watt switchable per drive which is great cuz i didnt know whehter i wanted one or the other, if u want to disable the master volume you can, its got a variac switch to lower the voltage ala edward van halen, and essentialy 6 modes over 2 channels. I run it through a mesa traditional cab and its great, but it can be run on any cab, its also not very suseptable to ohms so u can experienment with different ohms settings and cabnets. The one quam is that i wish it had a litter more lower end on strats but that i 95% positive i can change by getting quality tubes. try it out. if you go to the mesa boogie board you can find stiletto clips that are outlined by the manual. I think that the humbucker sound from a stiletto is unbeatable.
WWSD? What would stevie do?
