Seriously guys.... soundclick and all those free services suck the big bean.
The major hassle behind them is that anybody who wants to listen to your songs has to sign in and provide a password. If they aren't already registered it's a huge pain in the ass to register.
Go to a place like 1and1.com and set up an account. You can pay quarterly and it's only like, $5 a month. You get 200 to 500 mb of space to store your stuff depending on what account you want, and on top of that you can host your own web page and get your own email address.
It makes you look so much more professional when you have a web page of your own and an email address ending in your own name.
For instance, I'm signed up with them and have a web page with all my stuff on it:
http://www.schmange.com .... there's links to guitar tricks, pics, etc.... plus if you click on the volume and tone controls on the guitar picture you can access all my MP3's.
If you want to link directly to one of your MP3's, just type out the direct link:
http://s93744050.onlinehome.us/mp3/NeonLies.mp3http://s93744050.onlinehome.us/mp3/GoingHome.192.mp3http://s93744050.onlinehome.us/mp3/Rocksplosion.mp3... and people can instantly get streaming access to your songs without having to sign in or do a bunch of other crap.
It's well worth a few bucks a month cause other people automatically assume that you're really serious about what you're doing.
If you just post stuff on a free site, people lump you in as being an amateur.
You should also look into signing up with SonicBids so you can get an Electronic Press Kit. You can embed your link in every email so that people can get a complete picture of what your band is about.
