PItch Axis is a technique where you play different scales and modes, starting from a common tonal center.
For instanse you can take a "G" note as your tonal center, and then make use of different scales and modes that have the same root (G). It can be a G major, G minor, G mixolydian, G Lydian, etc, etc.
Someday I`ll play like in my dreams.

Thanks. That's what I was leaning towards. It may be a little hard to connect say... locrian and lydian modes though!

Because the tonal differences. Locrian is very dark, as lydian is very bright.
