but in my opinion it's better then the DF-7, I've never heard a df-7 being used... but the OD-20 uses COSM technology which is the best modeling technology that I have heard so far. I don't know what the df-7's modeling type is though.

the OD-20 has a knob that allows you to adjust your sound from "smooth" to "edge" or anything in between! this knob is great! you can take an overdrive model, set it to smooth and get a nice blues tone, then set it to edge and get some nice crunch out of it. it really is a useful feature.

the OD-20 has models for almost all of the models on the DF-7 and then some! the df-7 has 7 models while the OD-20 has 22.

I'd say to check around on e-bay, because this pedal is definately worth the extra cash!
