Some Basic Stuff I Need ... Hi Admin

Hello People ...

I'm just surfing when I came across this ... Can you please teach me some basics,, I'm from Philippines,, Here we learn the guitarz differently we just pick a chord chart and start strummin' others go to some music school to learn the music formally ,, but Most of us don't have the money so we just play the native way instead. I'm playing acoustics now and never had a chance to touch an electric guitar. Might I ask how to use a distortion?! And What are the differents gadgets that are used on an electric guitar?! Sounds stupid eh :p ... But please help anyway ... Thanks!!! God Bless!!! :) :)

hey cool, you've found this awesome site while surfing..

well as for the differents gadgets that are used on an electric guitar?! of course you'll need an amplifier. you can choose between clean or distortion by pressing a button on the amp.. and by just adjusting the knods you get different effects. eh.. probably a few pedals to help you when you're jamming to get the right effect without much trouble.

if u can afford an electric, it'll be so much better.. cuz there's so much more you can do on an electric.. one thing all my friends say, it's easier to play on electric.. like it's easier to fret, slide, bend and hammer.

alright, well with an electric, you need an amp to get the sound out- its not fun like an acoustic that you can take anywhere. but on the amp, theres usually an option called gain, aka distortion. you just play normally, but you get that "rock" sound if you know what i mean. you can get loads of different effects on an electric, like the infamous wah wah.

electrics are generally easier to play.
