Hi people,

most prominant musicians seem to be playing either a fender strat or gibson sg nowdays.I was wandering if anyone could tell me if there are any equally good brands or models out there that arent so widely used (just to be a bit different).Ive been hearing heaps about maton.

Jackson's are nice. The body is shaped kinda like a fender but the fretboard is fast and is a little wider at the nut to allow for bigger hands like mine.
I am a constant evolving music machine. Oh Man, I just forgot what I was playing. Oh well, on to the next song.

There is a new Fender Tele with a P-90 in the neck as well as the Jazzmaster I think has 2 P90's. Epiphone Gold Top has P-90's. And of course the Les Paul Junior/special

Maton are awesome...custom Austrailian guitars...very nice.

I once played a Hamer Korina p-90, it was damn expensive, but one of the nicest guitars I have ever played...I reckon Hamer is the perfect alternative to Gibson...and a good deal better in most cases.
Also, look for Brian Moore, or Blade(Levinson) or JJ (British guits)...all really nice.

I know I say it alot, but you guys have to check out www.nathansheppardguitars.com or www.blackmachine.net both of those luthiers just kick so much ass...

what about ibanez? :(
Later in the evening
As you lie awake in bed
With the echoes from the amplifiers
Ringing in your head
You smoke the day's last cigarette
Rememb'rin' what she said

I hate those Gretsch Bo's man...I played one in London and It's just uncomforatble, you cant sit nicely with it, and the dusty end really is dusty...and besides...what an ugly guitar? Carvins are awesome...so too G and L, maybe even some Esp/Ltd, if that is different enough for you...

Washburn A-20CS. Looks like an Explorer tied to a hockey stick. Sounds amazing! Very full humbucker tone, but it cuts through a mix like nothing else I've ever played. And it has series/parallel switches in the Volume pots. Even throttled-back and stroking the chords, you can hear every nuance through whatever wankmeister flash gets laid on over top. This one's a definite keeper.
