that was my parents fault... they wanted me to learn on an automatic to get the basics of driving down, so I'd have one less thing to think about. then after getting my license then add in the manual. personally, I'd rather drive a manual, they are cheaper, get better gas milage, and they can go faster, and you get more control over your vehicle.
