i think lessons are pretty improtant, for me at least.

i am quite lazy, and to be honest i need a good kick up the backside to make me do anythin. but if i am givin a goal i will do it even if it kills me, many a night have been spent writin an esay for uni only to hand it in an hour before the deadline closes.

before i came to uni i had a teacher, and he would give me tasks. i progressed because i practiced towards these mini goals. now that i am at uni i no longer have these. i progressed way futher in my year and a half with a teacher than the year and a half without. i havent really improved for a while, sure i got a bit faster, but nit much and not much else happened. to sum uo i thin a teacher is mandatory unless you are very motivated organsised and know how to practice.

anyways just my opinion.
