Hey Everyone,
I've begun to look for my first amp. I've tried a number of sub $500 amps and I like the sound of the Blues Junior. I know many will say "If you like the sound, buy it" but I'm looking for opinions and suggestions (good and constructive).

Thanks for any help.

That'll be about the nicest first amp I have ever heard of...those little tube amps are awesome...perhaps not as versatile as some digital small amps...but alot louder, warmer, and just plain better(also much more organic, if you get what I am saying)...I'd go with it hey.

I bought a Blues Jr. a few months ago and am very happy with it. It's my first tube amp and basically you can't get any new tube amp anywhere around the price of a Blues Jr. I don't usually get to crank it up in my apartment, but I've used it to jam around with a drummer and bassist and it's loud enough for that. I use a Rocktron Silver Dragon OD/Distortion pedal infront of it and it sounds niiiiice

Thanks for the input. This amp will be used only in my house and, at least for now, I only play for my own enjoyment. I don't need to worry about playing over drums or other guitars. I am more interested in the sound that tube amps are capable of.
