Im looking in the price range of under 800. Blues and Classic Rock are my forte so I want this axe to excel with these genres. Suggestions will be much appreciated. :D

The strat and les paul are the two main choices for what u want. However dont count out the tele its just as good...although better for blues unless your talking to bruce springsteen. Anyways in that price range u can get a highway 1 strat or studio les paul used. Ur just gonna have to play em to find out which u like the sound better. I like the hungry sound of single coils so i say strat or tele myself.
WWSD? What would stevie do?

no offense, but for classic rock and blues, i'd go with a strat definitly, like he said highway 1 or american, i mean going under that, a mexican but those are 350 and if you've got 800...well...

i love me my SG for classic stuff and blues. but an LP would go wonderfully for those too. i'd chose an LP over a strat tho, mostly because of its sustain. unless you get a strat with good sustain... but under 800...i donno.
