I`m just sending the rigth information for other people reading this thread.
If you hold the fifth string on the 12th fret and drop the sixth string; you would be tuning the sixth to "A" again.
So, if you wanna drop the sixth string to "D", you can:
1) Hold the fifth string on the fifth fret and then drop the sixth,
..................................or...............................................
2) Play the Open fourth string and drop the sixth string until they match.
