It captures the essence of the Hypodorian Mode:
a) It starts on "A" which changes the tonal focus of the lick.
b) it contains the flavor of the dorian mode, the "B note",
c) Contains the Final (D)
d) Contains the Dominant (F)
e) Resolves to "D"
