I've always asociated squiers with being the most bottom-of-the-line cheapest guitars you can get. but honestly I've never played one, and if your ear is not trained, or you are new to electric, it probably won't matter much. and it'll get you going until you are ready to buy something better.

i like both, the first is kinda like a tom delonge custom ain it? anyway, go with the one you like, i'd say the second because its more "stantard" if you know what i mean
