Ive got a roland cube...it sounds good, and the cube 60 has more effects than mine does.Ive used it as a foot stool, its sat in the car trunk on blazing summer days and freezing winter nights. The thing is indestructable.

I played the vox at the store and that sounds awsome too.I can't comment on the laney.

I'd go with the cube 60 since it has a line out if you ever wanted to run a large cab(like into a 4x12).Its onboard distortions are heavey but clear...no mushing out.Thats been my experience any.

See if you can try both out...the vox sounds really, really good too.
Try once,fail twice...

a boss OD-20 through a clean channel of a line 6 spider II, or any other amp with a good clean channel (FENDERS!!!) I use the MT-2 setting mostly when playing metal, but I've also used the DS-1, the "stack", the "metal", and the "rectofier" settings to great effect.

I haven't used any of the amps you've listed, but Roland is like the same company as Boss, and the cube amp uses COSM like my OD-20, so it probably sounds similar, so I'd say go with that!
