Hey guys I was wondering if you could help me with a solo for this song I wrote.

It is a rock song and the Chord progression of the solo part is: Am-E-F-G (repeat for as long as the solo goes) I want the solo to be a fast blues-rock style,
Thanks

You could probably get away with the A Minor Pentatonic scale; although because of the Emaj, you might want to look into A Melodic or Harmonic minor scales, (I am thinking of the right scale there, aren't I guys?!).

Try a few licks in Am, see what works, then try adding some notes outside of the A Minor scale and see what you come up with...

Hope that's of some use.
Don't worry too much about me, ignore me long enough and I'll go away.

The Harmonic Minor Scale in the key of "A" would work over that progression,
because it contains all the notes used in the chords.
Notice that you are playing a "G#" note in the E major chord(E,G#,B)
and the Harmonic Minor gives you that note.

A harmonic minor=[A,B,C,D,E,F,G#]

The Natural Minor has "G", so it won`t work.
The Melodic Minor has "F#" and "G#" and won`t be a good choice, because of the "F#"

Thanks, I tried that scale over the progression and it sounds pretty good.
