this is related to the "guitar stunts" thread but i decided to start a new one....

my question is how exactly do you go about playing behind your back? anyone got a vid out there that could show me?

any help would be much appreciated.

The easiest way to pull off this trick is to wear your strap over your right shoulder, ala Hank Williams Jr., rather than behind your neck and over the left. This will allow you to switch easily from playing in front, to having the guitar behind you. It takes a little practice but it isn't as hard as you might think...it just looks that way, and impresses the hell out of the audience.

Have fun!

i can easily do that! i dont mean to brag, its just something i like to do on stage! i just pick up the guitar and place the top indent on my right shoulder(assuming your right handed) and just play! i usually dont look at my guitar when i solo anyway, so its easier for me, you just have to be careful bringing it down, slowly, and make sure you get the guitar perfectly right back to where it was before...simple, and a great trick

keep rockin!! :D

when playing behind your head, its always easier to just play legatto, that way you dont actually have to worry about your picking hand at all...much the same as when you "Play with you teeth".
