Hey people, soon enough im gunna have enouh money for either a Fender Hot Rod Deville 212 or a Vox AD120VT Valvetronix 120w Combo. neither of which
i have played yet, havent found the time :(!!! but i will soon.
Just wondered what your thoughts are on them i know both have gd rep's and vox are and up and coming as each day passes but if you guys have got them could you let me know your good and bad bits about them.
I tend to play all styles of music really, but i guess my main areas would be blues and rock.
Cheers :D

I'd go with the Hot Rod. Stick with tubes man, find out where the real tone is.

Try out the Hot Rod 410 as well. Same output power but the 410 has some more punch.

I would have to include myself in the "go for the tubes" crowd.

Why bother modeling if you could have the real thing?

If you need a bunch of different tones, use a bunch of different pedals. I have had more fun with a single channel Gibson Goldtone and an assortment of distortion, overdrive, chorus, delay, etc...pedals than any modeling gear I have owned.

I think you will prefer the "feel" of the Fender compared to the Vox valvetronix.
