Welcome to the department of redundancy department.
I've been wondering...
How does Green Day get their sound for the intro to Holiday? Ever since I've heard the song, I've wondered because I think it sounds really awesome. Anyone know?

I don't have the song on me right now, but judging from memory, I'm gonna say they use heavy gain, a bit of reverb, and some chorus.

Les Paul Junior, Modified Marshall, and a strong strumming arm. Thats Billie Joe in a nutshell.

Is that the strummy rocky guitar on it's own? I think it's down to the chords he plays on it. (And distortion obviously)

I also beleive there is a bit of delay on...only for the first part ( the intro ).
