This thread is supposed to be about what people think of METALLICA! NOT EACH OTHER! I don't really like you, PonyOne, but I do think it is kinda stupid to insult each other for having different views. I can see an arguement if someone gives a specific reason why Metallica sucks, and then someone giving a specific reason why they don't, but it's just stupid to respond to someone like this just because they say something stupid for no reason. If PonyOne posts something worth responding to, then do it, but just don't give a stupid and pointless response.

Oh, I forgot, Metallica kicks ass because every member is a ****in' great musician and are great at what they do.

not nice to call people names boyz...just proves to me that instead of posting logic to prove a particular stance, you would prefer to insult others by name calling...i am not jewish...i am not a 250 giant that crushes skulls for a living(i am 5'4")...i like metallica because of their energy...not their soulfulness...if i want soul i will listen to jimi or some stevie wonder...yes kirk hammett uses the pentatonic...this does not limit his playing...if anyone thinks the pentatonic limits anyone's ability on the guitar then that person has not heard of bb king or eric johnson...

do i think metallica is the best band ever??? who really cares what i think...listen to music you like...if you don't like something ...don't listen to it...if you bought an album and you don't like it...throw it away or give it to someone who appreciates it...

every artist has their own niche in history...even the backstreet boyz...not my favourite vocal group...anyone who has listened to boyz to men doing yesterday in dts surround should still have goosebumps for the harmonies are perfect...but am i saying go out and by that album ??? not at all...am i saying they are the best??? not a chance... enjoy music for what it has to offer you...if it does not do anything for you then ignore it or insult the people who listen to it...you guys are smart individuals...you make the choice...
as for the squire guitars...my dad has played a squire telecaster for the better part of 12 years...he sounds pretty good to me...of course he is playing a fender twin reverb that he has had for twenty someodd years...he squeezes some pretty decent gatton tones out of that tele...but he leaves his 57 strat for special occassions...i have a charvel and i just recently purchased an ibanez...are my guitars better than his...are his better than mine...we really don't care ...they have their own unique tones that we would prefer not to compare...they work for him...mine work for me...

Ok this has gone on far enough... your opinions are your own but when you start acting like stupid little kids, making threats, and making racist comments, thats when your rights end. So kirk5, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammet, And Mr. Vai, I suggest you excercise more control over your comments. Nobody thinks your tough or bad-asses, but just stupid little pre-teens who are comfortable making threats behind your computers. If I had moderator status in this forum things would have ended for you boys, but believe me, I've been here a while and if this keeps up I'll do what I can to see that all of you are banned.

I think Kirk Hammett is a great guitarist not my favourite but he's good, I like Lars's drumming, Cliff was a good bass player and so is that new guy, but James Hetfeild is a joke he has one of the top 5 worst voices in music history right up their with Brian Johnston of AC/DC and David Lee Roth of Van Halen.

You do have a point there. I dont like james s voice either but all of them are great musicians.
and to those who just had that little hissy fit,I know I am only 14years old but its seems that all of u are acting immature .now Im not taking sides here but why do you mock metallica when not one of you has made it as far as them,they have been bustin thier ass to provide music and all you can do is insult them? a simple'I dont like them or I dont prefer them'would have been just fine.

James, I just wanted to point out that I hadn't really said anything too bad at all in this thread, not that I'm trying to suck up or anything.

And I happen to like Brian Johnson's voice. ACDC couldn't have gotten as far as they have if they didn't have a lead voice like his (or Bon Scott's either).
