New to the business
Hi, i want to learn to play the guitar because my bro can do it and a few of my friends can, i know nothing about how to play the guitar so :confused: if anyone can point me in the right direction on how to start out that would be great (i looked in the beginners section im still alittle confused about it)

I think you are failing to use the most valued resources! Talk to your brother and your friends that play! They will help you if you ask.
If you're brother won't help, then I say you get a free pass to put toothpaste in his shoe, and if your friends won't help, then you need new friends. Music is to be shared, and that doesn't just mean playing it for others. It means that you should help others to get started, just as others helped you in the start.
Another sure bet is to go to your local guitar shop/shops, and talk to the folks there. They would love to help you get started, but make sure to take an experienced musician with you if it is at all possible.

That's a definate green light for the tooth paste... hehe...
You're definately in the right place to get started,
take a look at the Absolute Beginner's Guide here on GT. That should get you going if you brother and friends won't.
Don't worry too much about me, ignore me long enough and I'll go away.

Thanks for the help :D but the tooth paste in the shoes i dunno i'm to nice to do such a thing and i asked a friend of mine about teaching me so yeah :D thanks again for the help
