here are some lyrics my vocalist sent me in an email, I'm seeing metallica ( black album type stuff ). What do you think? He'll kill me if he sees this stuff on the internet!!

I wouldn't say "Black Album", but I can see the Metallica element - perhaps "...Justice For All", similar vain (not in content, but in style) to 'Harvester Of Sorrow' or 'Blackened'.

Sobering stuff though - is there music yet? If not, is it the sort of stuff you'd like to put to music?

There is no music yet but I think you are right especially in the 'blackened' vain, I was thinking 'my friend of misery'. My strength is in soloing so I REALLY suck at trying to put music to this (my rhythm guitarist is just starting out from bass to guitar and doesn't yet know his theory) and form structure.
