Practice, and hold the Pick really close to the tip...there are probably more tips, but i suck at PH aswell lol but those 2 always help me :)

OOOOOKAYYYY how i do a pinch harmonic-

gain uppp
bridge pup selected.

once we have that done, what you do it you is choke up on your pick and pluck the string in such a way that your thumb hits the string right after your pick. what happens is that squeal.

you'll have to play with a bunch of things that determine how your harmonic sounds. such as where you're plucking the string....it usually works best in between the pickups but closer to the bridge. at least for me.
also, you'll need to play with how you hold/pluck the sting to get the best tone.

basically its alot of playing around before you figure out how it works best. once you get all that down, you can do pinch harmonics on cue.

GOOD LUCK

Use a thick pick (at least 1mm), and crank the gain.

That will work. My approach is I'll keep my grab of the pick the same, but I'll rotate it with the tip going towards the bridge, hitting the string with more of the side of the pick while still achieving the simultaneous thumb contact. All these tips are dead on though: gain, pick and thumb strikes, location of both hands (some places are easier than others), and experimentation. The 1st one is the hardest...then it's just practice.

also doing a stringbend or vibrato right after will make the pinched harmonic ring out nicely :)
