Whats a good acoustic or electric guitar for a beginner?? I'm just starting out and I'm not sure what to buy.

I started with electric, and I think it's actually easier to play electric then acoustic, plus they are much more versatile to play any style of music

Id suggest starting out on acoustic for the same reason 6strngs suggests electric: It's harder to play acoustic guitars, i think. If you start on acoustic and learn how to play it properly, the transition to electric will be really easy. Just get a cheap Yamaha acoustic or something. But if you really have your heart set on an electric, go for it!

ya, I played acoustic for 2 years, and then i played classical for 3 years, which reeeaaalllyyy tought me alot, and now I've played self-tought electric for like 1 year, and swiching to lessons in like 3 months, but do acoustc first.

ya, and i started out with a fender acoustic, but theres cheaper which are still good

if your goin acoustic i suggest the fender dg-11 for $199 but if your goin electric you should go with the behringer v-tone... but look for the first one... v-tone pack 2 sucks :)
