I dont want to sound like I'm trying to get people to use other sites :) This is by far the resource I use the most but some of the tutorials are a bit brief and some people seem to be having trouble (like myself). I've found a couple of other sites about with helpful beginners guides on:

http://guitar.about.com/
http://www.guitarnoise.com/article.php?id=36

Absolute Beginner's Guide

I found the second one particually useful, I'm trying to learn accoustic as many others are and the horse with no name tutorial is very vague :) I'm not to the stage where I can tell how something is played from the sound yet, especially not at that speed.

Anyone know of any others?

Edit: thought I'd link this site's too just incase anyone came straight to the forum and missed it ;)

Surely you saw the whole bunch of links on the bottom of the home page? Can't say I've visited very many of them myself, but they're "friends of guitar tricks" so they can't be all bad, eh.

In all honesty I saw them as paid advertisers of guitar tricks ;) I'm not one for clicking every link I see, I'll have look.
