A cool effect with a tv remote

Take a tv remote and put it up to your pickups (make shure your on the right pickup)then hold down the volume button (it works the best)mess around with your tones to get cool sounds.
Has anyone else done this??? If so post a reply.

Yes I have done it, but I din't mess around with it so much.

There is lots of things u can hold ageinst your picup to get weird sounds from.

Try a clock (not digital) A watch that have a sec. pointer, so it will sound like, tick tack tick tack ...

one of the host i think Johan i think it's Johan posted a sound effect with the t.v remote a while ago. Something else that's pretty cool is to turn you distortion pedal up and put a telephone by your pickups (humbuckers work the best) and have somebody call you ohhhh yeah and make sure your amp is turned up reallly loud.

ive been using remotes for a long long time. different ones actually have different sounds. any battery operated thing pretty much will make some sort of sound. remember van halen's drill on the opening to For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge? (the song is either poundcake or judgement day, i forget which) i hear that tool's adam jones uses things like that quite a bit.

Nothig with the sound only I big bang if u let go of the magnet (picup is some kind of metal...)
