Any one played one of these

My parents bought me the new Jimi Hendrix Experience wah..the purple one..and they gave it to me miles a way from my guitar (hundreds of miles away)...Anyone play one and what are your thoughts on comparisons to the original

I haven't seen one other than in pictures, but the July issue of Guitar Player (the one with Steve Vai on the cover) has a review of your pedal and the Digitech Crossroads. The Experience got an Editor's Pick Award.
"Kudos: Truly awesome sounds hand-tweaked by Hendrix engineer Eddie Kramer. Easy to use. Brilliant concept.
Concerns: AC power supply not easily replaced on the road. Some sounds accurately model '70s-era hiss. Effective live use requires optional footswitch."

I hope that lasts ya until you actually get yours together with your guitar, or at least dig up a back issue of GP.
