I like 'em both. I end up playing my tele more often, almost exclusively, 'cause I like the no excuses of a tele....what I mean is, if you see a guy tearin' it up on a tele, you know they got the goods....there just isn't anything to hide behind like whammy bars, splitable coils, fancy switching, batteries, mid boosts, etc....
But that's just me...
I play InstruMENTAL rock, classic rock, country, blues, rockabilly, jazz, anything I want on my tele.

If you don't like the twang on the bridge p/u, all you have to do is roll off the highs a little with the tone control.

Play whatever you like is a good rule! lol
