george thorogood

i want to buy a guitar to play george thorogood slide songs in g and d tuning. can anyone tell me if this would be a good guitar for that style, and if not what would be good for around 500$. http://www.americanmusical.com/item--i-IBA-AG75-BSB--brand-129.html

I'd suggest a telecaster, but this guitar will be pretty good for that style to. Gotta love George. Seriously, though, this guitar is gonna be a great instrument, you should also look into playing some jazz with it.
