Pushed down (towards the neck), the rest of the controls worked in the normal sort of way. Pulled up, it connected the neck pickup to the 'preset' tone and volume rollers set into the pickguard above and between the pickups. I think the same control system was used on the Fender Jazzmaster. All of the Japanese factories were busy copying American designs in those days. I think they got this particular body shape just right, though. Better than any Strat I've ever seen. And yeah, I miss it somethin' awful![/font]
